1942: Salonika, a multicultural city, under Nazi occupation. A defiant Jewish girl and a Christian boy fall desperately in love. A small music club where the traditional "rembetiko' music and songs are performed, serves as a small oasis, a cocoon against the insanity of racial discrimination and the ensuing hunt of the Jews gradually spreading around the city.
